New Ideas... being Resourceful, Creative and Surviving...

So January this year begins much as the last – not being able to see or treat my wonderful clients. What the last year has shown though, is how we can be resourceful in times of trouble...x
Whilst my treatment clinic has been closed, I have had to think of a new idea, and have turned my Aromatherapy Skills into something positive and creative, by producing some Wonderful Aromatherapy Products to sell to my family, friends and clients during this time, to bring Aromatherapy (and therefore something lovely) into their lives and their homes, and to earn some much-needed income for myself and my daughter.
Every beautiful product is handblended or handmade by me at home, using base products from my current suppliers and all the wonderful Essential Oils I hold in stock. I have been pretty much staying home since last March, as I have lots of elderly clients, so I have avoided all supermarkets and shops. I am just doing one post office run a week, to send out orders for anyone that is unable to collect from my doorstep (obviously wearing a mask in the post office!). We were lucky enough to get selected randomly last year to take part in the Government Covid testing scheme too, so we have been getting monthly tests for ages now. 8 tests so far and 8 negative results, so all good!
I really enjoy making these lovely products (I obviously have to test them out myself before selling!) - and I hope you enjoy looking through my latest offerings, and perhaps trying one or two out yourself!
I have always supplied beautiful Aromatherapy Essential Oil Blends to my regular clients as and when required, but I am doing more of these now in lockdown, when people still want the joy and benefits of the oils, but are unable to have the massage treatment. These are priced at just £6 for 30ml (or 10ml Roll-ons) or £10 for 50ml, and come in gorgeous Dark Blue or Amber Glass Bottles as preferred. Essential Oils can help with physical symptoms or emotional problems, and each oil is chosen for the properties it has, as well as what the clients aroma preferences are. Oils can be floral, citrus, woody, herby or spicy, or a mixture of these, and I can either make them up to a clients order, or have a quick chat to establish what the need is, and what would be safe for them, so that we can choose the blend together. I can make up safe Aromatherapy Essential Oil Blends for all members of the family, from newborn to 100 and beyond!
Through the first lockdown, on a suggestion from a dear friend who sent me a starter pack (thank you Sam!), I learnt how to make Aromatherapy Bath Bombs, which we have really loved using ourselves at home! These can be made with any Essential Oils, in any colour, and although I have predominantly made the Heart-Shaped ones (as they are my favourite!), I have also made Star-Shaped ones for Christmas, lovely Flower Shape ones, and little Bug Shape ones for the kids! These are fun to make, and just gorgeous in the bath. I can make small Hearts (one or two for a full bath, or just one for a beautiful Foot Bath), or large Hearts (one for a bath), or other shapes as required. They are currently priced at £10 for a White Gift Box containing 6 Small Hearts or £50 for a lovely Decorative Jar full! One of the other Aromatherapy products I have had amazing feedback on, are my 250ml Aromatherapy Hand and Bodywashes. These contain a really high percentage of Essential Oil, and are priced at £15-20 depending on the Essential Oils chosen. You only need a small amount for your hands and body to feel and smell completely beautiful! They come in lovely Blue or Amber Bottles. I have so far made up two aroma combinations that have been popular – a gorgeous uplifting and cleansing Bergamot and Orange one, and a relaxing and soothing Lavender and Frankincense one. But these again, can be made up with whatever Essential Oils you like – just contact me to discuss.
Another lovely new product has been my Aromatherapy Arnica Gels. I have blended my beautiful Essential Oils with a lovely soothing, cooling Arnica Gel, and currently do two different ones – one for soothing the skin with Rose Geranium, Frankincense and Lavender, and one to help with muscular aches and pains with Sweet Marjoram, Eucalyptus and Lavender. Again though, I can make these up to order if there are certain aromas you love! These come in beautiful Amber Glass Jars. The smaller 60ml ones are priced at £8 and the larger 120ml ones are £12.
I have also started making up Aromatherapy Reed Diffusers, which are just gorgeous! High in Essential Oils, these come with 12 Reeds, so you can use 6 in the first instance, turn them over after a month, then use the next six, then turn them over again, so one diffuser oil can last you 4 months. These are priced at £15-20 depending what Essential Oils are chosen. Please do let me know when you order if you have any pets, as some Essential Oils are thought to be toxic for animals if used in a diffuser. I can also refill these if required for £10-12.
With Valentines Day around the corner, and then Mothers Day in March, I have also made up some beautiful Aromatherapy Face Creams with Frankincense, Rose and Lavender Essential Oils. In addition, I have made some lovely Aromatherapy Hand Creams with Calendula, Frankincense and Lavender. These are rich in Essential Oils and make gorgeous gifts for yourself or loved ones. The Face Creams come in small 30ml Amber glass jars for £5 or larger 60ml Amber glass jars for £8, and the Hand Creams come in 60ml Blue jars for £8.
I can also make up Gift Bags, Gift Baskets and Hampers to order, if you want something special for someone. These can include a variety of the items listed in this blog, as well as adding Treatment Gift Vouchers to make them extra special. I show a few examples of gift baskets I have put together here.
Treatment Gift Vouchers (for when I can re-open obviously!) are available for 30 minute sessions at £40, 45 minute sessions at £50, or full hour sessions at £60, and can be personalised for free with a message of your choice to the recipient. My vouchers last forever (unlike most clinic vouchers that have to be used within 3-6 months), so if they can’t be used for a while it doesn’t matter. If my prices go up in the meantime though, the recipient just pays the difference. Sometimes I make up specific products for Special Occasions.
